Serving San Antonio Since 1957
The San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (SACADA) is a nonprofit organization that provides education, youth prevention programs, information resources and services to prevent alcohol and drug abuse. We serve nearly 60,000 people in Bexar County and 28 surrounding counties in South Central Texas each year and have partnered with many community stakeholders and organizations to make our community safe and healthier. Our mission is to empower our community to live healthy lives by providing prevention, intervention, and recovery services for children and adults; our vision is a safe and thriving community.
Our Peer-to-Peer Program
At SACADA, we provide recovery coaching and support services for those with or at risk of alcohol and drug problems by providing our clients both online and face-to-face options to connect with a peer recovery support specialist.
Our Recovery Coach staff supports both adult males and females in Bexar and the surrounding counties with the goal of increasing the prevalence and quality of long-term recovery from substance use disorders. Our coaches can help individuals establish linkages with community organizations that can assist them with accomplishing their long term life goals. Coaches provide role modeling and mentoring as a way of guiding individuals to find their own pathway to recovery. For more information, please call 210-225-4741.
